Q. What time does my tour begin and end?
A. Depending on weather conditions, your guide will coordinate your pick up time (generally midday around Noon) at your Las Vegas Strip hotel. You will be returned to your hotel approx ~4 hours after pick up.

Q. What physical requirements must I have in order to go land sailing?
A. MIN height: 44"; MAX height: 76"; MAX weight: 260 lbs. Even if you are in a wheelchair, you can go land sailing - all you need is the use of your hands and arms. You only need the same strength as pulling your loved ones close to give them a hug. :)

Q. Can I just rent myself a Blokart® and go do my own thing?
A. Sorry, no (due to extensive logistical and liability issues).

Q. Can I charter a private / VIP trip?
A. Yes, for $250 USD per adult (guide gratuity not included). You select the time you want to depart and how long you want to be out. Imagine sunset land sailing - or by a full moonlit night sky lighting up the playa while land sailing under the stars.. Very romantic.. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost for your group is required upon booking. Please call or send an email to priv.trip@landsailingtours.com and arrangements will be made promptly.

Q. Do you have references?
A. Yes, hundreds. A small sampling is on the references page. If you send an email to ref.check@landsailingtours.com, you will receive a random list of five past clients and their detailed contact information.

Q. Is there a vegetarian or kosher lunch menu available?
A. Yes, please communicate as far in advance as possible if you have any special dietary requirements.

Q. My hotel's lobby/entry area is very large, confusing, crowded, and hectic. How will my guide find me / how will I find my guide?
A. Please be waiting at your hotel's TOUR BUS lobby. Confirm with your hotel's front desk or concierge the location and walking directions. Be watching for a clearly marked Go Land Sailing van to arrive ± 10 minutes from your scheduled pick up time.

Q. What is the refund policy? What about inclement weather / not enough wind?

1) 72-hour Cancellation Policy or full charge applies
2) 50% Non-refundable deposit upon booking
3) If you don't sail, you don't owe a balance :)
4) If Land Sailing Tours cancels, your deposit is refunded

Q. What items & clothing do I need to bring with me?
A. The most important items include sunglasses, snug-fitting hat (with visor; and a tie string is recommended), sun block lotion, lip balm, skin moisturizing lotion, camera (with film and spare batteries), any important medications, and a desire to have a great time & make new friends. You may bring a portable CD/MP3 player (with "in-the-ear" headphones) so you can listen to your favorite music while land sailing, however, keep the volume at a level where you can still hear what's going on around you.

In terms of clothing, wear pants (no shorts) and closed-toe shoes (no sandals). Choose casual clothes that you won't mind getting a little dirty & dusty. The same goes for your shoes - but don't worry - a damp cloth is usually all that's needed to clean your shoes when you get back in. During the early spring and late fall, you are advised to bring a coat, hat, gloves, and even a muffler. The desert air can be deceivingly cool, especially when you factor in the "wind chill" effect.
